Krishna explained to Arjuna that there were several powerful demons living in the forest who would pose a threat to their kingdom if left unchecked. Krishna and Arjuna then approached the god Agni, who agreed to help them burn down the forest. As the forest burned, Agni consumed the demons and their treasures, which made him very pleased with Krishna and Arjuna. The burning of the Khandava forest is considered a parable of the balance between progress and conservation in Hindu philosophy. It is also a reminder of the importance of strategy, planning, and cooperation in achieving one’s goals.
