Balarama, also known as Balaram, is the elder brother of Lord Krishna in Hindu mythology. He is believed to be an incarnation of Lord Vishnu’s serpent Shesha, and is considered a symbol of strength, virtue, and loyalty. Here are some of the legends associated with Balarama: Killing of Dhenukasura: According to legend, Balarama and Krishna were once in the forests of Vrindavan when they encountered Dhenukasura, a powerful demon who took the form of a donkey. Balarama killed the demon by uprooting a tree and using it to strike him. Marriage to Revati: Balarama is said to have married Revati, the daughter of King Raivata. The marriage is believed to have taken place in the heavens, and is said to have lasted for several years. The Plow Incarnation: Balarama is also associated with the plow incarnation, where he appears as a farmer who uses his plow to till the land and provide food for the people. Participation in the Mahabharata War: Balarama played an important role in the Mahabharata war, where he fought on the side of the Kauravas. However, he remained neutral and did not participate in the actual fighting, instead choosing to meditate and abstain from violence. Killing of Pralamba: Another legend associated with Balarama is the killing of Pralamba, a demon who took the form of a cowherd and attempted to kidnap Balarama and his friends. Balarama killed Pralamba by smashing him to the ground.
