About This Episode
Kansa was a powerful and cruel king who was known for his tyranny and wickedness. He was also the uncle of Lord Krishna, who was destined to kill him and put an end to his reign of terror. Krishna, who was raised in secrecy by his foster parents, eventually revealed his true identity to Kansa. Enraged by the revelation, Kansa challenged Krishna to a duel in a wrestling match. Krishna arrived at the wrestling arena, where he was met by Kansa’s fierce wrestlers. However, Krishna defeated all of them effortlessly and then challenged Kansa himself. In the ensuing battle, Krishna defeated Kansa, fulfilling the prophecy that he was destined to kill him. The battle is often depicted in art and sculptures, with Krishna holding Kansa by the hair and delivering the final blow.
