This is a story from the childhood days of Krishna, when he used to live in Gokul. The people of Gokul used to worship Lord Indra, the King of the Gods. Once, Krishna asked the people of Gokul not to worship Indra. This made Indra very angry and he asked the clouds and thunder to hit the Gokul area very hard. Seeing the torrential rains, Krishna went to Mount Govardhan, and lifted it with his little finger. All the villagers of Gokul and their cattle sought shelter under the mountain.
