We bring to you this episode on occasion of the festival of Guru Purnima (also known as Guru Pornima or Guru-Purnima). This festival is celebrated In the month of Asadh, which falls during the monsoons, students pray to their Gurus and seek their blessings. The word Guru Literally means Destroyer of Darkness. (Gu means darkness and Ru means liberator from or destroyer of). On occasion of this festival, we bring to you a story – How The Wicked Sons Were Taught a Lesson.
In the second part of this episode, an old man is treated poorly by his sons. Once upon a time he was rich, but he had divided his wealth among his sons, who now saw him as a burden. Listen to this short story to learn how the old man’s friend comes to his aid and teaches the sons a lesson.

Guru Purnima (Poornima) is an Indian & Nepalese spiritual tradition dedicated to spiritual and academic teachers, who are evolved or enlightened humans. (They are) ready to share their wisdom, with very little or no monetary expectation, based on Karma Yoga. It is celebrated as a festival in Nepal by the Nepalese Hindus and Buddhists. This festival is traditionally observed by Hindus, Buddhists and Jains to revere their chosen spiritual teachers / leaders and express their gratitude. The festival is celebrated on the full moon day (Purnima) in the Hindu month of Ashadha (June–July)..”
